Following its purchase from the Receiver, AVL has undertaken a major refurbishment not only of the common parts but also the external elevations of all units on the site, together with a major upgrade of all vacant units. Particular emphasis has been placed on estate signage, lighting and landscaping and security. Upon purchase, AVL inherited rental arrears of close to £100,000 and within the first 3 months following its purchase, 100% of these arrears were successfully collected. Numerous lettings have been undertaken at ever improving rental levels, and in the 21 months since purchase, net income has almost doubled.
